As a 30 year old who only really started watching Star Trek a few years ago (only a few episodes of the original series) I’m surprised how well the writing and dialogue stands up today.

This show was light years ahead of its time in the late 60's. It is still as good and as relevant today as it was then. It is a treasure.

Star Trek actually had some incredibly clever and intellectual dialogue.

5:23 this scene is one of my favorites in the entire series sharing between Kirk, Bones and Spock. watching Kirk and Spock ganging up on Bones but only for Bones to aggressively shut up which they both gave him a stunned look and shushing them both trying to keep them quite and realizing he finally got the last word will always put a smile on my face.

I love the way in spite of Cdr. Kor's denial, He and Capt. Kirk technically do embark on the first joint Human/Klingon mission when Kor suggests they tackle the Arganians together and Kirk restrains him as he feel all is not as it appears.

i hate that people dunk on star trek 5. yeah it has issues but the parts with kirk, spock, and mccoy where great and the best parts of the movie. it helped show more of there friendship

I've always found the episode "this side of paradise" funny because basically the entire Enterprise crew got high on flower pollen. That's essentially the plot of the episode.

My son and I cried sitting in the theater watching Spock die and Kirk's heart broken. I was as sad as if I lost family, for me, the crew of the Enterprise will always be that.

The ancient people on Spock’s planet must have been so passionate, it is amazing they didn’t set themselves or the planet on fire.

It's always disappointed me we never had the sequel scene where Kirk found out Spock and McCoy had been BS-ing him that time.

I would like to see what a Mirror Mirror Enterprise would be like under Captain Chekov.
